inspiration for you
love this beth moore study on David. what a story. so excited to do my study each day.
read this
Psalms 62
Truly my soul finds rest in God;
my salvation comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will never be shaken.
How long will you assault me?
Would all of you throw me down—
this leaning wall, this tottering fence?
Surely they intend to topple me
from my lofty place;
they take delight in lies.
With their mouths they bless,
but in their hearts they curse.
Yes, my soul, find rest in God;
my hope comes from him.
Truly he is my rock and my salvation;
he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God[c];
he is my mighty rock, my refuge.
Trust in him at all times, you people;
pour out your hearts to him,
for God is our refuge.
Surely the lowborn are but a breath,
the highborn are but a lie.
If weighed on a balance, they are nothing;
together they are only a breath.
Do not trust in extortion
or put vain hope in stolen goods;
though your riches increase,
do not set your heart on them.
One thing God has spoken,
two things I have heard:
“Power belongs to you, God,
and with you, Lord, is unfailing love”;
and, “You reward everyone
according to what they have done.”
memorizing... to remember.

three cheers for FRIDAY!!
Adam starts his new job on Monday.
Over the moon happiness this afternoon.
Over the moon happiness this afternoon.
unemployed for 6 months. not easy!
The wait has been so very long. like a dear friend reminded me Wednesday at bible study... quite reminicient of waiting for that positive pregnancy test, first ultrasound, and birth of our precious miracle babies. waiting is just hard.
but we trusted, relied, waited, believed, and now we will rejoice and relax!!
today after taking the boys to school we busied ourselves making a huge batch of tomatillo salsa & guacamole to take to some friend's house for dinner tonight. and i made my first ever loaves of zucchini bread that turned out simply delicious!!
i can't wait to make more to share cause these two loaves are ummm maybe not gonna make it out of the house. the boys each had three slices after school. i may or may not have had just as many.
here's a friday dump of pictures from my phone: still in love with the Instagram app!

open house {kindergarten}
the boys gave me a tour of their homeroom classroom. each work station. showed off their art and music classrooms. of course we had to stop by the library as well. we love the library!
it was nice having some time to visit with Miss Cappadona about how they are doing, and we always enjoy visiting with their spanish teacher. such sweet ladies!
i love kindergarten art work. amazed at how well they are picking up spanish words and songs. their pronunciation is superb! uncle ronnie and aunt monica will be so impressed.
love having them in the same homeroom. God created them together. they are FIVE. they have the rest of their lives to naturally grow and mature apart. they are making many friends and learning lots. yay for kindergarten!

cricut cover {life}
I made a Texas themed Cricut cover by request for a friend.
It was my first experience sewing a binding on anything, by hand.
It was actually really fun... once I got the hang of it.
I made her a matching scrap/thread catcher. She loves all things Texas! These both will look so good in her scrap room and Texas decorated home.
**********************************************************************************
it's been quiet around here this week. i guess the emotion of all that we are carrying around right now just seems so heavy to talk about. feeling at the end of my rope. literally at the end of our financial rope, and facing so so much to catch up on when Adam starts the job.
it doesn't feel right to complain in light of all that others are dealing with. {9/11 anniversary, wildfires 30 miles away destroying 1,500+ homes, extreme drought conditions, illnesses} of course it could be worse.
our burdens feel heavy. we know our God is in control. praying and trusting in Him. thankful for His mercies that come from unexpected places.
growing in faith... thankful for how this time has changed our hearts.
by His power we choose to stay positive. keep a happy face for our boys. and not despair.
keeping in real,
amanda

happy friday
my view each morning as I drop the boys at school. beautiful sunrise.
view around our city this week, as so many central Texans face evacuation due to wildfires all around them. so many have lost their homes and belongings. devastating.
my little ham. grateful for the way he is transitioning into being a kindergartener. his teacher's love him! enjoying our nightly ritual of reading to the boys. they like to repeat the words back to me.
