my big bro was here for 3 weeks

he is home now

 miss him a bunch!

trip to the children's museum with the silverts

the boys kicked off summer with lots of fun outings with friends 

we went to a free early screening of Descpicable Me 2 in 3D

love the glasses

first time my brother had been in a movie theater since the day of the accident

the boys have chickens at their nana's house

little farm kids

swim lessons early june 

**i wasn't as happy with the outcome 

they need a little more instruction

this was sorta a waste of time

bummer

so happy to see that red sunshade over the playground

gonna miss this school

lots of good memories

yay for INSTAGRAM Friday's!!

Friday after work i took the boys for froyo

it's our favorite treat

saturday morning i had a grocery store helper

he was loading up on kiwi

in the afternoon we took the kiddos to san antonio for their final tournament of the season

and as an orange belt

there is a lot of waiting involved

but the kids are pretty used to it now

they first call the kids to the mats from the stands by age groups

then they line all the kids in the age groups by height

one day this boy will probably be last in line in his age group

he's a tall one

noah and skyler road with us to the tourny

we had two first place winners and two second place winners

good job kiddos!

sunday afternoon after church, lunch and naps we headed to the silvert's for a swim

the kids played in the water for hours

we had a yummy pizza dinner

and called the weekend a wrap

our favorite team advanced in the playoffs

GO SPURS Goooo!

getting closer to another championship!!

oh the sadness of this tragedy

i'm an okie

this happened in my home state

 too close to family

but thankfully they are all safe and sound

much prayer and love for all that are displaced and have lost so much

these two are really into their DS these days

daddy put some tunes on there

a few summers ago

on a plane

anniversary trip

dreaming of another one day

just he and i

they lingered with us a little longer this morning
not wanting to leave for school

wanted me to walk with them

lots of kisses bye and "love you's"

i'm always praying for their safety, comfort and well being when we are apart

and that they learn, place nice, get along, and stay out of the principal's office

oh geez

i still love documenting little life moments that make up our days together
i've heard lots of reminders this week from momma's who are out of the littles phase to cherish these "little guys" while we can. enjoy the games we get to play together, tucking them in at bedtime, even if it's 2-3 times, family dinners together every night, field trips and school programs.
one day it will be gone :( and that day will come too fast i'm sure 

a little Star Wars Guess Who with the boys before bed is always fun

typically i dread being asked to play a game at 7:30pm on a school night

but this one is really fun, so i don't mind playing 2-3 rounds

i was so proud of the boys for writing thank you cards for birthday gifts only a week after their birthday - and as i struggled to read what they wrote i decided to do the family a favor and translate on the empty space.

loves having his own room

is a total neatner like his momma

and is really digging his new disco ball light

and guiness book he picked out on amazon

Yippee! We made it to Friday!

The boy's only have 28 more days of school.

YIKES!!

 

time to plan 11 weeks of care and activities to keep 'em busy!!

 

adam and i had some yummy peaches and cottage cheese for a snack

adam called it old school dessert :)

we separated the boy's bedrooms this week

it's probably a little over due

but good

really great in fact

 

 

and today is 80's dress up day

i think we pulled it off

i was going for let's get physical meets karate kid :)

i told them how exercise became popular in the 80's

and everyone wore sweatbands, knee highs, rolled up their sleeves and exercised

(at least that's how i remember it)

and we didn't have to go out and buy anything for this dress up

yay!

 saturday me and the boys flew kites they got for easter

at lake kyle. we brought along some old bread to feed the ducks too.

 



 

love this field of bluebonnets i found on the back roads from our house

it's someone's pasture

so i just took pics from the fence

i didn't dare try to plop my kiddos down in the middle of them like i did when they were little

 

 

like we need to be reminded to EAT

but i love the red color in my kitchen

 

 

friday night adam surprised me with an impromptu night out

just the two of us

he even arranged the babysitter

an overnight babysitter :)

i have the best husband

 

 

boy's are studying texas history this last 10 weeks of school

next week they are to dress like cowboys all day

then they are having a program complete with texas songs and stick horses

this boy was super happy with his new pearl snap shirt and cowboy boots

he was NOT a fan of the cheap little hat i bought

he said he wants a REAL cowboy hat

 

 

today they took this book to school to share with their class

the story of the magnificent SAM Houston!

Uncle happens to know the author and illustrator and sent the boy's a signed copy :)

way cool!

well hi there

no, she's NOT supposed to be sitting on the cabinet.

 she likes to watch the kids play outside.

 

the boy's had their first basketball game on saturday

so fun watching them learn how to play some hoops

they are #3 and #4 on their team

corbin got the 24 hour bug mid week, and missed his first day of 1st grade

thankfully he is feeling better now...

and slowly getting back his appetite

he likes to read himself to sleep at night

we let him most nights

growing up

 so.much!

i caught him brushing his teeth before bed

  and i think he was only told once

yay! for big boys who just handle their business

adam baked 7+ dozen brownies last night for the PTA bake sale tonight

i have such a helpful man
