easter 2013

Celina took the boys to the city library egg hunt on good friday
corbin found their friend from school, Marisol (purple shirt)
She's a doll. they've all been in the same class for two years.

mom came to town for easter

we shopped

picked out fabrics for new quilts for the boys

red, white, black, grey... stripes, dots, flannel... can't wait!

of course we ate well

lettuce wraps friday night, chicken enchiladas, chili rellenos and guacamole saturday, and ham with the fixings sunday. 

mom played shrinky dinks with the boys

we all colored pieces 

then had fun watching them shrink in 1-2 minutes in the oven

we relaxed some too

even watched tv

mom and i caught up on a few nights of the voice, and watched celebrity apprentice

now i'm hooked on the voice

isn't it so good?

the boys colored eggs with shaving cream and food coloring
it was pretty

otherwise, it didn't really do much to color the eggs
they certainly weren't marble looking

just splotchy
oh well

they had fun playing with left over shaving cream

Easter morning we headed to church early

adam ushered and served communion

the boy's were handsome in their ties

and silly faces

after looking at all the outtakes 

the boys reminded me of those boys on bikes going door to door

haha

the kids were spoiled with an easter bucket of goodness

(jump rope, kite, peeps, jelly beans, skylander, swimsuit, boxers, glow sticks, sticky hands, & a paddle ball)

Easter is special

we are so blessed to have salvation through Jesus' death on the cross 

for our sins

and then he rose again

so that we may have eternal life

He is Risen!

Indeed He is Risen!
