this was fun - bird seed wreaths

i tried to find pinecones to cover, but had no luck. i did find these mini grapevine wreaths at hobby lobby. we covered them in peanut butter then rolled them in bird seed. i used some jute to hang them from the tree in our front yard. it was a perfect day to sit under the tree and craft. the boys really loved it. and i think the birds are enjoying them as well.

garden life

watering. feeding. weeding. harvesting.
the fruit of our labor is the best.
roma tomatoes
cilantro
strawberries
blackberries
cucumbers all growing strong. we planted the blackberry bush this time last year. it's blooming and producing loads of blackberries. eeeee! JAM
we trimmed back the mums from the fall and they are still blooming. hens and chicks. my favorite.

playing barbershop

it finally happened... someone cut their hair with kid scissors.
and of course in twin fashion they cut each other's hair... cause that's nice, "right momma?"
i was amazed how trusting corbin was to sit and let cooper take the lead.
when i realized they were not just spraying water and combing, but also cutting corbin said, "does it look better mom? did he get rid of my cowlick?"
ahhh so sweet.
coop did a number on one side of the cowlick, alright.

it's only hair mom, it will grow back. no worries. -Corbin

thankful

life doesn't always go as planned. help others anyway. it's my new favorite quote. i read it at liferearranged.com. perfect! and inspiring.
adam did a great job on this fence. our incredibly awesome next door neighbor's fence. i have to post a picture of the inside of the gate in a few days. way cool new gate door complete with a concrete pad underneath. i tell ya, that husband of mine is brilliant. we will call it the fence that started it all. ha! since then he's repaired two others, bid on replacing another one, and has a repair to complete on a fence two doors down tomorrow. a real furry of work from all different directions right now. work is happening around here. the list of jobs to do is growing daily. i'm making some real progress on this custom sewing project. i can't wait to see it hanging on a wall. all 100" x 60" of it.the boys are busy keeping up with mom and dad's fast paced days. they always find some way to lighten our mood.i love their innocence, curiosity, playfulness, imagination. love my littles BIG!corbin picked me some wildflowers yesterday. i love them.
