summer saturday evening fish fry with the neighbors
and my sister and Troy in town from OK. ♥
all our beloved doggies
kiddos who love to play together
cold bottled beer, odoul's, capri sun
watermelon and loads of fried trout caught on the texas coast
ahh, it's the life.

kids played go fish on the sidewalk for at least an hour.
everyone was content. dogs got to hang outside in the front yard on a leash.
i love summer.

watermelon is a summer tradition, right? and my boys will eat almost anything... not picky eaters at all. and fruit is their FAVORITE. but watermelon, they won't eat. cooper's face says it all. we've tried it every year, and they always take a bite or two and say they don't like it. maybe someday. it's so refreshing, fun and messy to eat! and no big black seeds to mess with anymore. {how do they do that? what happened to the watermelon's seeds?}

yay! it's friday! the holiday weekend is here.
my favorite brother in law and sister in law and neice are coming for the weekend.
can't wait to see our country livin' fam!
i'm off to wash guest room sheets, clean bathrooms, and play with the kiddos. have a lovely weekend celebrating this great countries independence! happy 4th!

crawfish boil fun

we had a crawfish boil with a few neighbors mid May. the kids had a blast playing with the fish before they were put in the boiling pot. they helped search out the dead ones. corbin, i mean Batman carrying a tray of the dead. thanks for keeping us safe batman. so yummy and super messy. they were too spicy for the kids to eat. and too gross for most all the girls to eat. except me...i'll eat anything. by the end of the night we were all gathered around a heater because it turned cold outside. miss that nice weather! love our neighbors!!

adam did a great job on this fence. our incredibly awesome next door neighbor's fence. i have to post a picture of the inside of the gate in a few days. way cool new gate door complete with a concrete pad underneath. i tell ya, that husband of mine is brilliant. we will call it the fence that started it all. ha! since then he's repaired two others, bid on replacing another one, and has a repair to complete on a fence two doors down tomorrow. a real furry of work from all different directions right now. work is happening around here. the list of jobs to do is growing daily. i'm making some real progress on this custom sewing project. i can't wait to see it hanging on a wall. all 100" x 60" of it.the boys are busy keeping up with mom and dad's fast paced days. they always find some way to lighten our mood.i love their innocence, curiosity, playfulness, imagination. love my littles BIG!corbin picked me some wildflowers yesterday. i love them.
