one week from today

i will be leaving for Africa. wow! i'm overwhelmed. pinch me please! i am so fortunate to be chosen for this adventure.
we packed a few saturday's ago... all our donations and just about everything else we are taking.
good reality check that we can't take much for ourselves.
we won't need it.
we have 14 very full suitcases full of blessings for others.
that's what it's all about!
praise God for providing so abundantly!

i have so little left to do to be ready to get on that plane.
this last week is going in s l o w motion. i'm soaking up time with the boy's.
and missing adam like crazy already.
only 22 more days til we get to be back together as a family. it's a small price to pay.
i can't wait to meet all the kids at the orphanage. teach the young girls how to sew...
i first have to learn how to use a treadle sewing machine :)
i've been watching lots of youtube videos.
it's a rhythm. praying i can master it quickly
and get lots of time to help the girls learn how to use it.
i'm sewing a pendant banner for us to hang up at the orphanage.
our kiddos are going to help decorate it after sunday school this week.
so excited! so blessed!
so ready!

we have an intinery now. we see the names of the others we will be in service with from other states.
we will be a team of 22 for a week, then up to 44 the second week.

our leader challenged us to call ourselves a missionary this week.
it feels good to say "i'm a missionary."
going on a mission trip.

thank you jesus for the opportunity to share your gospel.

Mark 16:15-18
15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. 16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned. 17 And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; 18 they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well.”
Bring It!
Go God!
