linking up with Life Rearranged
life rearranged

It's been awhile...
you know how i LOVE my phone pictures.
I've wiped my phone almost completely clean of pictures and video
so i can take lots in africa :)

here are some highlights from our first week of summer vacay!!

crafts : we started the week in crafting mode

paper airplanes : coop's obsessed with figuring it out.  he wants to know how so bad.
encouraging him that it takes practice and it has to be precise so take your time.
so easier said than done.
he's six. he's got to get it done.
he's watched a lot of how to's on youtube. and used up A LOT of white paper.
oh well. he's happy.

swimming : swim lessons got derailed until early july.
we swam at the Y on Monday instead.
with our gang

and had a swimming playdate on Wednesday.

gardening : the boys are really helping me keep everything picked.
we have a BOUNTY of okra this week.
freezing it. ready for frying. gumbo.
hope to pickle some... if they last that long.

frozen chocolate banana bites : delicious. super easy to make.

 saying goodbye to adam...
watching his plane on flight tracker library.
the new library is nice. they have lots of room to grow into.
we had fun playing on the computers. and checked out dvd's and books.
the boys joined the summer reading program.
church picnic
we had to say goodbye to our pastor this sunday. :( we will miss PD.
he's an avid red raider.
rivals in the church decked out his truck
after the last service with lots of UT and A&M gear.

spontaneous apple picking

we took coach to our friends where he will be staying, and she asked us to please pick apples from their tree. YUM! apple crisp, apple sauce.... all of a sudden i want apple everything.

crazy in love with my new canvas.

oh my goodness this boy can read. he's been faithful to read out loud to me almost everyday
and he enjoys it. this book was crazy advanced with big words like adjectives and vibrant, mauve, and frightening. he sounded them out, and just read it.

for the win! these mini gardens are sprouting up like crazy. time to replant them. might be able to wait for aunt tammy's visit  this week. since she sent these to the boys i bet they would all have fun replanting them together.
need potting soil :)

H brand's graduation party on Saturday
Way to go Ashleigh!

One of my favorites from the party :)

today we did a really fun rainbow sun catcher project.
stringing the bead on the pipe cleaner was fun.
i wish the beads would have melted together better.
i'm not done with this one. i think i'll cook it longer.
