Dance Baby

cooper likes to dance.
hello! hope everyone had a nice weekend. it was beautiful here.
we went to the family dance at school friday night, then to dinner with a big gang of friends from school. look forward to doing that more. we are blessed with a great group.

we are all excited for spring break next week! time away is going to be nice for everyone. and lots of fun memories are in the plans!!

i surprised the boy's last week and brought chick fil a to them at school for lunch. they loved it! emiliano is our buddy. the boys played tee ball together too. his mom teaches 3rd grade.

africa is happening! SO EXCITED to share this adventure on my blog.

my amazing wednesday morning bible study group donated $715 to my expenses. so generous!

i'm reading this book called a hole in the gospel... i am beginning to feel a little overwhelmed to be called to go to africa. but oh so blessed to go.

little by little i'm checking things off the packing list.

praying for more funds for all of us. and generous donations for supplies.

yikes... i really didn't do much blogging this month.
it's been a fun month. we've had lots of playdates after school.



lots of fun nights out with our sunday school friends. parties at school. church directory pictures.school pictures. and today i wrap up my James bible study. life is good.

it's way worse today. serious chemical peel this time. i feel like a raisin, and look like one too.

i'm on my way up to school to volunteer.

long time no blog

i know!
i miss blogging everyday.
life gets in the way. i choose to spend my time elsewhere sometimes.

happy belated valentine's day. the boys sure had fun celebrating with their friends and classmates. adam brought home dinner for us. other than that we didn't really make a big deal. we like to call valentines the hallmark holiday.white chocolate covered double stuff oreos on a stick for their classmates. and i almost gave all 40 away without taking a decent picture of them.
i made them on sunday at my friend's while the kids played together. it's so fun to bake together. tomorrow we're making bread and shortbread cookies.

africa paperwork is 99.8% complete. deposit is paid. i've received 4 out of 7 shots. i'm excited! time to step up fundraising. if you want an africa shirt email me :)


i saw this in women's day magazine. james 1:19. oh how he convicts!


seriously unlucky... ran over a bolt. but discount tire fixed it for free. they rock!
oh my heavens. this boy is about to lose his first top front tooth. this will be tooth number 3 before he even turns 6. early achiever. irresistibly adorable.

how sweet it is

last Friday was the 100th day of school. they celebrate that day big in kindergarten!
the boy's teachers texted me this pic. they aged a bit for the day. lots of creative ways to teach the kids just how much, how long 100 is. little guys this age are still learning to comprehend time. :)

we had a super fun date night with our sunday school class friends. watched the movie Courageous in their in home theater. good times!
more africa shirts out the door. so happy others are showing off they have a heart for africa too!

speaking of africa... tomorrow i'm going for my first series of shots.

wednesday

it's been good. hectic.

this little critter showed up right outside our patio door.
i'm not a fan of critters.
then it started raining. coach scared it away.
a day later a neighbor came over and asked me if i knew of anyone missing a ferret.
it went in through her doggy door, and tore up her couch.
i'm pretty sure i would have died had it shown up in my house.
cute, but critter none the less.

stuffed peppers for dinner. really good. pretty healthy.

i have a crush on my dermotologist. he's working magic on my complexion. makes me happy!
someone wasn't so into homework this day.
i had no idea parenting would be so entertaining.

hello monday

the weekend is over. boo hoo.
on friday i made pioneer woman's spicy pop pulled pork. so darn good! i bought a pork butt shoulder roast at HEB. They had some really big ones or a few on the small side. I think the one i got was about 3-4 pound roast. cooked it for about 4-5 hours in the oven. It made plenty for the 4 of us for a few meals. the chipotle in adobe peppers give it the best spicy flavor. YUM i added some new artwork to the boy's room. i think they have outgrown the stage of taking it all down. fingers crossed kept cooper home on friday cause he was coughing and congested over night. it was fun spending one on one time with my boy. and he especially adores having my undivided attention.
i think he's ready to learn to tie shoes. however, he doesn't have any shoes that tie. so he's learning on mine. his bestie Alex at school learned how to tie his so he must keep up. so competitive, this one. deciding what to do with my collection of bottle caps
